Service providers are given all the necessary tools to do detailed tracking of financial transactions as well as control their receivables.

Taxation

Invoicing

The system dynamically generates customer invoices based on the types of charges created in the subscription plans.

Usage Counters

The Usage Counters component enables the usage of custom volume and occurrence counters (volume-based billing).

 

By setting usage counter thresholds for metered usage of services providers can differentiate their offerings to better target their customers.  As each account consumes services the usage counter will be incremented until the usage counter threshold is reached. Once the threshold is reached any further usage of services will be charged on the regular tariffs.

 

Core features include:

  • Manage multiple usage counters per subscription plan – create, modify, copy, delete usage counter
  • Support for both per minute or per occurrence usage counters
  • Assign Usage Counter Tariff to rate calls in the usage counter
  • Manage counter tax base: tax actual charged amount or tax would be amount if the call had to be charged on the regular plan tariff
  • Automatic and manual reset usage counter value

Surcharges

Surcharges are special type of fees which are added on top of other fees or charges. The system uses the concept of surcharge to allow services providers to address the constantly changing legal environment in the VoIP world.

 

Surcharge features include:

  • Creation of unlimited number of surcharges
  • Support for percentage and flat fee surcharges
  • Separation of surcharge definition and surcharge assignment
  • Flexible and granular association between surcharges with respective charges per subscription plan

Custom Charges

This component enables management of custom recurring or one time charges and fees.

 

Custom charges are just one of the many tools the system provides to enable service providers to be proactive in creating new offerings and quick to introduce new services and packages in order to meet the demands of today’s dynamic telecommunications.

Subscription Plan

The Subscription Plan is the offer package which service providers extend to their customers. The subscription plan associates metered usage charges with tariffs for rating, various recurring and one time charges, surcharges, taxes and usage counters.

Data Warehouse

The Data Warehouse stores history data to facilitate the reporting, analysis and decision making processes.

The system provides various reports and charts to segment, slice and aggregate history data collected in the Data Warehouse providing different views of the data and allowing service providers to gain rich insights into their VoIP traffic, revenue, cost and margins. This way service providers can learn more about their traffic and make educated business decisions.

The data warehouse is a separate AVAHosted component which is integrated into the Reporting section of the administration console. Close to real time data transfer agents make sure you get the data you need as soon as possible.
